What nerdy & goofy things do you like, or like to do?

I was thinking everything I did was cool, but I eating a bowl of cereal which happen to be Apple Jacks.

 

I still play original NES,and SNES games ....on their platforms....no emulators for me

 

I follow all the developments on the Neanderthal DNA Project.
I teach computer classes for old people.

I do the same with my cat.

 

I make reading lists for the summer and try to look for books I want to read at thrift stores.

 

I bully small children and throw back brew-skis.

 

I love the smell of Play-doh. I have some in my shop and sometime I just open it and smell it.

I'm seriously considering buying a book about linux kernel development

But it's about £40 and I never spend that much on, well, anything except booze. Maybe if it's on ebay I'd get it..

 

remember that scene in ANNIE HALL where they go to the movies and woody's going on about how he can't miss even the first minute(s) of a movie or else it ruins it and he has to see it another time? that's me. i gotta be there at least 15 minutes before showtime. and then, in the last row and only in the last row.

and if being a bookworm is nerdy, then there's that too.

 

I smoke a bowl then do some of the following things: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Java, C++ and #, draw, Audacity (for mashups), continue my soon to be back tattoo, etc

# I saw a doco called "Walking With Beasts" in year 10 at school and I have taken it out of my local library a few times afterwards just to jog my memory
# I like to nag my little brother to mimic that Cool Aid Guy's voice just so I can have a giggle
# I love to mimic other peoples accents and pretend that I'm good at it

 

I know of a torrent site that a of software books on it, im not sure if it has the one you are looking for but it worth a try. Soon as I find the link i'll pm ya, that's if you don't mind reading off a computer screen.

 

Ah, I can torrent books if I want, I really prefer to read off paper though, reading on a screen tires my eyes out after a while.
