I like anything by Brand New... I mean of course there's other stuff but regardless. Anyone who's into punk or anything like it should definitely check out the Lovebug Junkies. They aren't very well-known, but they're my boyfrend's brother's band and they're EXTREMELY good. My boyfriend's brother, Russel, is guitars and vocals. My favorite song by them is "Boys, we're being hunted". Search Lovebug Junkies on myspace, a record company should pop up. Click on it and they should have "Boys, we're being hunted" by the Lovebug Junkies on there, along with some other songs from other bands. Yeah. If you're into punk you'd prob like them.

yea I could see the potential in those guys...It kindof reminded me of a kinda mix between D.I., alice bag band and crucifucks, in a really mild'ed down way. But definately true. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=11012123 This is my friends' band, I've partnered up with them before...Fun shows.
Yeah, I think the Lovebug Junkies are pretty great, not to mention Russell is crazy as SHIT hahaha. Anyway, your friends band is pretty hardcore sounding, I like them. Anyone heard of Against All Authority? They're sick, I like their song "Silence is golden but duct tape is silver" best.
Dude against all authority fukken RULES! They take the cake in the trend of power punk ska. Much better than fukken nofx! IN fact: haha u mean this one! Me and Billy like to sleep all day, on the floors where we decay. Mohawks in disarray from cutleridge to motherfucking Biscayne Bay. The gangs tried to kill us but we wouldn't take flight, brass Knuckles and rusty knives keep the wolves at bay, and we pray from Traffic downtown, turn it up and take me away. [Bridge:] What do you do when there's nowhere to go? Empty pools and punk Rock shows, after that nobody knows and the sun goes down and the Streetlights glow. We rolled through the city in a bucket of rust With the punk rock south day girls screaming lyrics at us. From the Backseat kicking up dust to the sound of the only people we can trust. [CHORUS: x2] Out of control and you've shivered my timbers, i'm all fucked up the Moon's just a sliver yea silence is golden but duct tape is silver Like the lining of the clouds that conceal the killers. The streets aren't safe when the winds start blowing, in the eye Of the storm the blood starts flowing, we're gathering bricks and We're gonna start throwing them at you (We'll throw them at you) Yea, The streets aren't safe when the winds start blowing, in the eye Of the storm the blood starts flowing, we're gathering bricks and We're gonna start throwing them at you (We'll throw them at you) Me and Billy like to sleep all day, on the floors where we decay. Mohawks in disarray from cutleridge to motherfucking Biscayne Bay. The gangs tried to kill us but we wouldn't take flight, brass Knuckles and rusty knives keep the wolves at bay, and we pray from Traffic downtown, turn it up and take me away. [Bridge] [Chorus x2] The streets aren't safe when the winds start blowing, in the eye Of the storm the blood starts flowing, we're gathering bricks and We're gonna start throwing them at you (We'll throw them at you) Yea, The streets aren't safe when the winds start blowing, in the eye Of the storm the blood starts flowing, we're gathering bricks and We're gonna start throwing them at you (We'll throw them at you) Kick us when we're down we're not going away, we're the stray dogs that Chase you the ones that betray you. And wild through the streets And sleep with the decay of all that you have left us like fit disarray Out of control and you've shivered my timbers, tell us to shut up And we'll give you the finger, yea silence is golden but duct tape is silver Silence is golden but duct tape is silver OBEY!
Well Shit, that makes the 2 of us haha, Until then Code Blue I never got along with the girls at my school Filling me up with all their morals and their rules They'd pile all their problems on my head I'd rather go out and fuck the dead 'Cause I can do what I want and they won't complain I wanna fuck I wanna fuck the dead Middle of the night so silently I creep on over to the mortuary Lift up the casket and fiddle with the dead Their cold blue flesh is turnin' me turn red 'Cause I can do what I want and they won't complain I wanna fuck I wanna fuck the dead And I don't even care how she died... But I like it better if she smells of formaldehyde! Never on the rag or say leave me alone They don't scream and they don't moan Don't even cry if I shoot in their hair Lying on the table she smiles and she stares 'Cause I can do what I want and they won't complain I wanna fuck I wanna fuck the dead Wash Away Sad memories the gatherig rain brings I loved her but I'll never see her again Clouds raise their heads in the morning the way I once walked on by her But now she's gone and I'll never raise my face again White horses dragged my lover from me the clouds rushed in and drowned my sorrow with the rain My friends try to lift me they understand how I'm feeling but the truth holds me down she came and went with the rain White horses dragged my lover from me The clouds rushed in and drowned my sorrow... with the rain Now always the storms come... Raindrops run down my windows All that's left is her picture but someday it to will wash away... wash away... I watched her walk away, with the rain TSOL! ...very funny when put back2back HA!
Hahaha nicee. Yeah those are funny put together. But how do you like Sublime's more punk stuff? I think Pool Shark (orig.) is a pretty punk-sounding thing. For Sublime, especially haha, they're so chill.
Shit dude, when I was workin community service(disorderly bulshit), at this halfway house, some skinhead who got kicked out left a bunch of his shit there, and it wound in my hands courtesy of the staff. Long story short a bunch of used clothes, patches'n shit, a book, boots(doc martin imitations) and cd's. It had 2 of sublimes early records at the end of it, but it pissed me off cuz Sublime was pretty beat to shit although i put plenty more mileage on it, and forty ounces to freedom is actually cracked all the way from the center to about a centimeter from the edge. Ain't it funny though, still goes all the way to the end with the occasional skip here in there upwards of track 8. Nowadays tho... There's to much foggy confusion, most people confuse them for bands like weezer and my chemical romance and shit like that. I always thought sublime was a pretty good abstract when it comes to thinking about the shift in popular focus during the 90's and that whole era of top garage bands and dovetailing the mainstream and shit... god kill me I hate the fucking 90's hahaha... To answer your question tho haha, yes I like sumbliems orige material. Definately chillable. Wait...MR. Bungle haha Fuk Yeah!
Hahahah yeah. I really like them, but it's werid that most people treat them like pop with the preppy kids wearing their t-shirts. They probably don't understand half the music but it's oh-so-cool. =/ Haha. I like to understand what the fuck I'm listening to.
Right on! And ya know wut, This ones for those fukshaclezzzzzzz "No Change, No Futute, We're Lost" American corporate system Controls the world's economy Decides who's richor poor Suffer the third world country No change, no future, we're Lost Mowed down by machine gun fire Increase the external revenue Exploit and capitalize a foreign country This is kept hidden from the public's view No change, no future, we're lost Question and doubt are discouraged They want us to believe That their actions do no wrong We must not let them succeed No change, no future, we're lost Aus Rotten!
It's another lonely evening And another lonely town But I ain't too young to worry And I ain't too old to cry When a woman gets me down Got another empty bottle And another empty bed Ain't too young to admit it And I'm not too old to lie I'm just another empty head That's why I'm lonely I'm so lonely But I know what I'm gonna do - I'm gonna ride on Ride on Ride on, standing on the edge of the road Ride on, thumb in the air Ride on, one of these days I'm gonna Ride on, change my evil ways Till then I'll just keep dragging on Broke another promise And I broke another heart But I ain't too young to realize That I ain't too old to try Try to get back to the start And it's another red light nightmare Another red light street And I ain't too old to hurry Cause I ain't too old to die But I sure am hard to beat But I'm lonely Lord I'm lonely What am I gonna do - Ride on Ride on, got myself a one-way ticket Ride on Ride on, going the wrong way Ride on, gonna change my evil ways Ride on, one of these days One of these days Ride on Ride on I'm gonna ride on Ride on, looking for a truck Ride on Ride on, keep on riding Riding on and on and on not a big ac/dc fan, but this has GOt to be one of my all time favorite songs. reminds me of so many people i know, used to know, hope to know again. travellers who come and go and really only leave a memory until one day BAM they're there again. aha.. aww reminds me of things i need get on with as well..
