I got a FEVER!

and the only prescription is more trout fishing...

thanks to the most beautiful day of the year thus far... i finally got out fishing... only caught 2 but that's two more than i was expecting... i was just happy to get my line wet and enjoy the day..

it felt like ages.. but it was only months..

 

Its been about 4 years for me. But technically it was cheating, since the lake was teeming with catfish. It was a lake on a private property, and they kept catfish to eat whenever they liked. It was neat.
The last time I hit the ocean and fished, had to have been 6 years ago. I caught a flounder.

 

it was about 4 months for me.. but good lord those 4 months are some of the longest months of the year.. i'm just glad i didn't shat myself while i was out fishing.. things seem to be clearin up on that end though

nope, sorry. but me and a buddy were fishing one day last summer or two and got to talkin how to catch big fat black chicks in the river... "ya just go and toss a watermelon out there or any catfish bait an' you'll catch yourself a big fat black chick"

Hmm. I'd love to fish. No one I know does that tho. I'll probably just find somewhere peaceful to chill and cast a line out this summer. I miss fishing...

no.. i threw'em back.. its only winter catch & release right now... trout season don't open til mid-april in minnesota... plus they were too small

 

OK, Every thing I know about Meen-a-snow-tais what I have learned from my A Prairie Home Companion addiction, but doesn't that make you some kind of weirdo?

 

everyone says it would be different if i owned a shack.. which is maybe true but surely false.. because i find no entertainment in sitting in front of a hole waiting for a fish to bite.. i need to be somewhat mobile... and casting... not dropping a line straight down and up/down jigging

 

Ice fishing is definitely awesome if you have a shack... You just chill and get fucking baked and drunk and hotbox the shit out of the shack... ALways fun
