I've been trying to lose this 10 or so pounds for a while now, but every couple o times a month when i get REALLY high, I end up eating probably 10 000 calories worth of food in a matter of hours. It gets to the point where my stomache is descended and I feel like I'm gonna burts.. but i keep eatin'! When I'm sober I don't over-eat, just when I'm high! Anyone got any ideas on how to avoid munchies, or at least munching out TOO hard?
...don't smoke? damn 10,000 calories really? that's 5 days worth of food... yeah yeah, for real though, apples, oranges, plums, pears, mangoes, grapes - all delicious when baked
^yeah, what they said. but seriously instead of getting shitty snack foods at the grocery store for munchies get like protein bars & oranges or something. I know it sounds lame but that's what I started doing a few months ago. Protein bars, if they're a good brand, they're def good b/c they fill u up even when youre high (well for me @ least).
I'm 5'11" and 130 pounds and I eat like, 4 full meals a day plus I'm almost always snacking on something. gaining weight is impossible for me
I had the same problem and Iseeked advice on this forum and the Best answer was just eat healthy fruits. With regular excersice I have dropped From 200 to 189
I've actually just recently learned to control my munchies. I used to rip into food like there was no tomorrow but I learned it would usually bring me down. I can still get urges sometimes but I just reason with myself and it isn't that hard. Once you start though...even I can't stop. You just gotta have that incentive to not think about it. If you must I'll go ahead and agree with everyone on the fruit. Nothing better than boosting your self esteem while high by eating healthy, feels great.
Yeah i can relate to many... When im sober i usually dont over eat, or very rarely. When im high, during the comedown my eating can get so intense, i go past over eating, its like actual pain and discomfort. Its so hard to control, because when you get that urge to just eat shitloads, its really hard to get it out of your head
Like everyone else has said, fruits are a good choice, but I've also found that if I eat a meal before I get high, I don't get the munchies near as bad, so you could try that. Then again, I'm fat, so I don't know how much of a help I am on the subject of losing weight. Haha
I find it motivational for me to realize how much of a couch potato I'm being and how gross it is. Then I can calm down. Plus I'm training (not very well because I don't gain weight) for college because I'll have less food. Maybe try a glass full of water next time. Gum works. So does celery and the fruits. I also find when I am engaged in conversation or an activity I don't crave.
i ate a whole box of chips ahoy! once but I'm 5"10 130 and I walk everywhere around my college campus (Park your car hella far so you walk far and lose weight)
Everyone who's ever smoked bud has been there. When I bake toaster strudel's when I'm high it's just such a flavorgasm and then I get so full when I top it off with a cold glass of milk. Afterwards I feel like I have committed the greatest sin in the world.
When I'm doing stuff or theres no food around I don't get munchies as bad, but once I start eating.. Oh mama!
try only keeping things around your house that you have to take time to cook... for me i tend to eat less if i actually have to MAKE the food, because i never feel like doing that.
haha yeah im the same...if it requires too much preparation then i wont bother...pomegranites are great munch and grapes...its like eating and drinking at the same time.
