Hi Beth! Welcome to posting, although you have been "watching" the forum longer than I. I really really like your dreads! THey look well knotted at the ends already. Fingers crossed that mine go down the same path!
thanks guys! i was feeling pretty down about my dreads today actually. you all cheered me up gretaoto, they were crocheted. apparently a lot of people don't think its a good method, but i didn't know any better at the time. and it seems to be working for me. i never used any wax or anything.
i certainly hope not! i've grown too attached to my dreadies to loose them. i haven't crocheted them since the first week, but they were started that way. a little bit of twist and rip, pulled together tight with a crochet hook.
Funny, that's the first set of dreads that I've seen that don't look to me like they've been crotcheted. Usually I can tell crotcheted dreads a mile off. (Not that this matters of course, I'm rambling really) If I had to guess I would have said backcombed straight away. Just goes to show dreads sometimes aren't so very complicated after all. Man that was all a load of rubbish really, never mind. I'll say it again they look great, and no they're not going to fall out, they'll grow into something even more special than they are at the moment....
