hi, i was wondering about T5 fluroescent lighting, i know u can veg grow using this type of lighting, my question is can i flower my crop if i get the right red/blue spectrum with T5 ????? :cheers2:
You can flower with floros, but if you want big dense buds get a HID light, preferably a HPS. floros just don't have the penitration.
Ditto... Agree. But floros and cfl's are quite handy for training purposes coz there easier to move about to get plants to grow in a certain direction. Lol like the one i did under my kitchen table was only a foot tall but 4 foot wide.
i already hav a 600w hps for the flowering, i was only being curious, just thinkin about cost thats all, if theres a cheaper method that gets the same results am up for that. thats fine i will stick wi the hps for flowering. :cheers2:
You can flower with fluorescent, and to the equivalent of using hps. You would be using up more power to do it though. HPS gives off between 50 and 140 lumens per watt. Fluorescent give off between 30 and 110 lumens per watt.
