I'm noticing that some of my dreads underneath are shrinking majorly!! Some are just made up of baby hairs so are obvioulsy short dreads but 3 others have shrunk up to 4inches. My longest dread atm is 14inches, I mean, that is quite a shrink! I tried to get a few pics to explain it better, my hair is going absolutely insane-ahhhh! I'm scay-eeed:::

 

how old are they now lux? 5 months?

i dont know if im scared or excited about my potential shrinkage =/

yah 5 months. the shrinkage looks realli weird, the dread is pulled up tight into a bunch just by a few stray hairs that morphed into the dread and pulled it up

 

Mine shrunk a lot! Before dreads my hair was about 25 inches long now it's 15in

 

see if that happened to me id snap those hairs =/

lately, when im putting mine back into a ponytail and my fingers catch loose hairs that have slight knots, i have to really force myself to not run my fingers thru and break the knots =[

i dont think im too good at this 'leave them alone' thing

 

now when I tie mine up the rejects underneath just sit there looking all crazy.blaaaaaaa^^<>^^I wanna be able to tie em all up mewmewmemwemmwem

 

my front ones dont go back, but the rest do =]]

 

now they're turning into 'real' dreads, they are sooo matted especially where they're growing out. the process seems to have speaded up so quick the past while.eouff;,;,;,;

 

I think that looks really neat!! drooling with envy over here

 

when i had non-dreaded hair it was bellow nipple height so maybe 25 inch+, now my dreads, 22 months later are all around 12-14 inches or so, granted i cut around an inch of each to neaten some, but even then thats 10 inches shorter than my hair was 2 years ago...

 

Your at the stage that always reminds me of my junior high days running cross country in very short shorts in the snow....

 

I have a few like that too!! I took a picture of one and his neighbor for comparison, so you don't feel alone!! They are 5~ months, almost 6.
