So we all know dreads are not always looking the best in the first months Of there little newborn lives no matter what method you use. But you know Its been around 6 months now. And I Been going by eagles words when he says STuff like the best dreads will be the ones that are not messed with(maybe those were not exact but he said somthing like it). So you know I dont mess with loose hairs i dont crochet nothing and so you know it can be messy at times. And You know All i been doing is just washing and preventing congos that i dont want . And well in the 6 months so far i have lots of loops not alot but few here in there really small ones uno. But i just want to know how it will change what my hair would look like a year from now will patients turn a mess into a head of beauty. Will it look amazing after a while. i just cant picture my hair changing and looking wonderful. Will there be a big change over time from 6 months and 3 years can a mess turn into beauty? Has anyone experience having somthing on your head(dreads) that your like Oooo they dont look all that good and then long time later there just great. Cause from watching dreads knot up some knot slow and others fast. And some dont knot up at all And i wonder will they ever change too. IDk. So thats why i ask you guys.
idk I see some many with NICE dreads like no lumps no bumps and long. I just twisted and ripped the front section of my hair that I had taken out. I'm hoping that they look great in june which is when they will be 1 year.
I went natural and it took about 2 maybe 2 and a half years before they started looking tight and rope like. And was that after I ripped them into rope like sections. I think backcombed ones turn uphill after the one year mark. They just get messy before that and then they finally start looking better from that point on. After 1 year you will start seeing improvemtn I presume. Props on not doing any maintenance. I think the idea of maintained dreads is silly
heres the guy who did mine a few months after he started his locks. and a few years later they look like this.
