hi i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how to fix it.... i keep my hair up a lot and i noticed about a week ago that the dreads above my ears are knotting up towards the back of my head so they wont lie flat... i keep it down a lot more but other than that what can i do to fix it?

Try sticking a bead at the root, it might help.. or if you know how to use a crochet hook/latch hook, pull the hair that is opposite of the hair going backwards into the dread... This should even it out a bit xD Pics would help :)

nothing at al;l just dont keep em tierd up as much and in a few weeks it will sort itself out

your just kinda forcing it to grow back not down..let it grow down and it will be fine
(also make sure its not connecting to any other dreads that are poulling it back)

Wear touques!! I had this problem starting, as I wear my hair up a lot due to where I work, etc etc, and I wear touques (especially since it's so cold out still.. boo )and it helps to flatten them out. Might work if you wear one while you sleep.

in time they will fix themselves up...mine used to grow in all sorts of weird looking directions but once they go some weight to them they just fixed themselves.
