Hello all, I have a question regarding marijuana and erectile dysfunction, and was hoping some in here would have experience with it. I have been seeing this girl since the fall. At first the sex was great, but I did notice that it was difficult to cum. This really wasn't that big of a deal to me since I could last ages, but still frustrating. Fast forward to the end of winter and into spring, and I seem to not be able to have sex at all. I get hard when we first initiate making out and if she gives me head, but when it comes time for intercourse I go limp. It's like I don't feel anything. The woman I am with is very sexy to me, so it sucks to have her think that it is her. I have a hunch through research that this problem may be due to my marijuana use. I have been using very frequently since the summer, and that may explain the progressive symptoms (being able to stay hard but no cum -> no erection at all). A little more background: I am a otherwise healthy 21 year old man, with only a history of colon flare-up problems. So does anyone have any experience with this that they can throw out at me? Do you think it's the weed? If so, can anyone recommend a detox accelerator that may help speed up the sexual improvements if I stopped using today (may be a stretch). Thanks all!!
I don't think its the weed. Maybe you should see the doctor. If it is the weed have you tried stopping it for awhile to see if that helps?
What makes you think that it isn't the weed? I have not tried stopping for an extended period of time.
It could be the cannabis. Noone reacts the same way to a drug, even regular prescription ones. Cannabis is fairly safe though, are you at "full staff" after it wears off? If so, it very well may be that chemically your body's cannabinoid receptors process differently. Or perhaps you may have such a light case of erectile dysfunction that it only presents itself under the influence of chemicals. How about when you're drunk?
Perhaps not the THC itself. Could be the effect of the smoke on your cardiovascular and respiratory systems. I'm not saying that this is your problem - just that in my own experience, sex got way better after I quit smoking, started exercising, and lost weight.
Let me clarify: I quit smoking nicotine cigarettes, not weed. Although at that point I'd already stopped that as well, I wasn't quite addicted to it the way I was addicted to nicotine. But smoke, whether marijuana or tobacco, is still smoke and can damage your lungs. I remember feeling a little dizzy in the middle of intercourse because I was out of breath (before I quit smoking). Everyone's different, though. Maybe the OP's problem isn't the same as mine was. Still, it won't hurt for him to try going without weed for a day or two (or more).
Then the lord spoke from the clouds, if yer dick dont get hard from smokin the pot, stick a hemp stem in the hole.. and the people did this and they saw that it was good.. (I saw it writen in the bible, or sumtin)..
Colon flare ups is a bit of a red flag, your prostate is near there, see a doctor I doubt its the weed, as someone else pointed out, not everyone reacts the same way to each drug, but for most weed would make you more horny
