do you ever talk about the forums

i rarely talk about it as hip forums, but i talk about what "a friend from the internet" did or said or the story they told that's relevant to whatever we're talking about. lol. i definitely don't want too many people i know in RL to know about hip forums, just because i don't share all of who i am with many people i get to know in RL... and i kind of let it all hang out here.

 

No. I'm still relatively new to my area and haven't made any friends who would care.

i talk about the forums a lot but i don't tell anyone what kind of forum...coming and reading what's going on here is MY escape...no one elses!

i don't. i have 2 friends who lurk here sometimes, and they know my username because it's the same as my old aim name. so sometimes i'll talk to them about it. if any of my friends look over my shoulder while i'm browsing here and ask what it is, i say "a fanclub for the color purple."

 

I talk about it sometimes. Mostly when I'm trying to convince my friends that I'm not as weird as they think. I'll say, well someone of hipforums agreed with me. lol They still think I'm pretty weird though.

I talk about it with my brother, he knows the URL but doesn't visit this place. I tell him the funny stuff but don't mention usernames. I told him of a lot of the parody threads, of anything I think will make him laugh. I told him of a few funny things I read on 4chan too, but I didn't mention what forum it was from.

He tells me funny things which happen on the forum he frequents (for an anime he loves). I know the URL but don't visit it either. He's much more open with the fact he's a forum goer; I don't like to say much about this place.

Besides my brother not many people know the url. Thanks to the various rantforums my friends know the vocab. And people do know that I adore forums too. I have mentioned it before.

 

My husband and kids know I post here, but I always shoo the kids away because they know they are not allowed to read this shit...
