earth hour

I have a feeling I will forget.

 

they put it on a saturday night hoping everybody is at home, kinda dumb because its one of the nights people will be out drinking blasting music obviously with the lights on, with a lesser note you would think instead of telling people to turn off the lights for one hour they should be encouraging us to use less power all year round.

 

OK, I will turn every light and electronic appliance in my house on at 8:30 tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, the roads are still frozen and it's still 20 degrees out. No way am I turning off my heater for an hour. If the earth wanted me to participate, it would be much warmer outside.

 

I've still got my kneecaps! I've got everything in my house turned off. I hope nobody walks in. They will think I'm having a romantic time with myself with all these candles lit.

 

Yet you have your computer on, which uses more energy than any light.

Earth Hour is a joke.

 

I'm using a battery powered laptop, so no power is coming into the house. The main breaker is off. My wireless internet is coming from the neighbors for now.

 

earth hour only wants you to turn off your lights... i'm gonna plug in the blender and make some coffee and toast and heat up the oven and use all the hot water and leave the xbox on and dvd player on and the tv and the phone plugged in and my cell phone charging and the air filter on and the computer on and the netbook plugged in...

I forgot - but I'm sitting in a dark room. Besides we only ever turn on the lights in the rooms we are in and we always turn them off when we leave the room.

 

Beyonce isnt doing Earth Hour... I know this because my daughter and her dad just left to go see her... that's a whole lotta power being wasted tonight.

my town has some xmas lights on right outside my window...tomorrow i am cutting the cord cause they light up my bedroom at night..I turn off lights cause if I dont my lectric bill is too high

 

i live in california and it's damn near impossible to even find a "normal" light bulb... they are all them twisty energy saving lights.

I buy the cheap dollar store lightbulbs and then when they burn out I throw them at the chickens in my neighbors yard... stupid fucking chickens!

 

i put one of those energy saving bulbs in the porch light at my mothers about 9 years ago.. it still hasn't burnt out!
