    It's simple.

You eat too many one night, so you buy some more the next day to "pet the dog". BUt you buy more than you eat, so you have some the next day. And the day after that you get paid. That means it's Friday. Time to party.

You buy some for the weekend, and come Monday you feel like shit. You buy a couple more to "pet the dog".....

It can sneak up on you. I've never been a fan of pharm's, really, but I've seen it happen.

Xanax is an anti-depressant medication. I took some anti-depressants @ one time - not xanax (I'd have to look for the name though). It does help most people but side-affects are bad. The thing is that you have to go into xanax like if you had to put a band-aid over a big bobo. Once you feel better, you have to lower the doses every six months or so. Sometimes your regress and must keep the dosage for a while longer. The important thing is that in a way - it saves your life. I may talking to invisible people here - but please - don't mix drugs and booze with these - they'll have an opposite effect on you.

xanax isn't an antidepressant, it's a drug for reducing anxiety, and also a sedative in its own right.

xanax is a tranquilizer (a form of antidepressant) and it's used primarily for people with panic attacks. I was taking it for a while and realized that I developed a dependency to them and stopped immediately. I only imagine blowing them is 10 times worse.

xanax is a brand of alprazolam, an anxiolytic benzodiazpine. it may be described as a tranquilizer, but tranquilizers generally refer to sedating anxiolytics or antipsychotics, and are generally not used to treat depression (which is a very different condition than anxiety or psychosis). xanax is an anxiolytic. as such it is used to treat anxiety related conditions. these may often occur in people who also suffer from depression, but xanax is not generally used to treat depression. as anxiety issues may sometimes accompany depression, xanax is sometimes used along with a proper antidepressent to treat both at once, but it isn't desigend to treat depression on it's own.

much more likely candidates for treating depression are drugs designed to do just that. these days SSRIs are in fashion for this purpose, drugs such as prozac and paxil and so on. other types of antidepressants would include the tricyclic antidepressants, which may cause sedation. then there are MAOI antidepressants which carry some strong possibilities of dangerous interactions with foods and other drugs.

It's not an antidepressant, it's for anxiety. My friends always used to be like, "Yeah man, we scored some xanies!!11oneone!11" They'd blow that shit, smoke it in weed, all kinds of retarded shit.

I, on the other hand, legitimately NEEDED them. I don't see what the perk of taking xanax would be if you weren't on the brink of a panic attack.

i find it a moderately pleasant sedation, but rather boring overall. it can be nice, but i dont seek them out or care to pay much at all for them if they're offered.

then again, i at least somewhat enjoy most sedatives.
