    when the birds die they wouldn't they just stay up there floating in the sky haha, just a random thought haha

    If there wasn’t any gravity everyone not tied down would simply fly off into space –

    If there wasn't gravity, the universe would be a right mess and none of us would exist.

    I know what you mean, though. Reminds me of this cartoon I saw when I was a kid.
    A plane is flying along, and then it begins to crash. Suddenly, it stops dead in the air - out of fuel.

    i dont think they'd go straight up. i think they'd just meander, floating there, bumping into other things and eventually getting bumped off into outer space like major tom :eek:

    Yeah, since the earth is spinning, we'd fly right off it straight into space...

    well that's weird. i mean, this is just guessing, but it would seem that with no gravity there would be no direction in which anything would travel automatically, unless they got bumped into that direction and there was no friction or something to stop them. what would cause them to go straight up instead of just sort of floating around in various other directions via inertia?
