So for the past five or so months Tim and I have been extending and renovating this lovely old cottage and now it's finally all done and we have a new home!! We moved in last week. It's awesome, I've never felt happier and more at home anywhere else. I love our new home. I did find out though that moving brings out the absolute worst in me, hahah. So anyhoo, to make this thread slightly more engaging and interesting.. what's your home like?
That's great Kozmic! My home is nice enough, but it's too small. The kids are getting bigger/older and we need more space. I'm going to have to get on hubby's case to finish with some of our remodeling to get this place up on the market, either that, or try to rent it out. I've made up my mind. I'm going to just go to the hardware store and start buying the things we need to get some work done around here, that way, hubby will have no choice but to go along.
I'm so happy for you. My place is a trailer that still needs the carpet put down. But I still live in my parents house. We built it - a log home - not that kit crap. It's somewhat large....I just know that I have a huge bedroom with a huge closet that I will miss. Other closets I have seen in my price range are just really really sad. HCM at least buying the stuff will make him start on the projects. I usually have to do the work myself...then my dad asks why I didn't wait on him.
Meh. Just a little house. It's kinda like a little package with herpes. The kitchen and living room would be the balls. The hallway - the shaft. The rooms are the herpes, hanging off the sides of the hallway. Do you have any before/after pics? It'd be kinda neat to see.
my house? haha more like small apartment, I would love to own a house, but I know that wont happen till i finish school and get a high paying job somewhere and thats looking like itll be atleast a few years away
i'm in between a few homes right now. i'm moving back in with my mother cuz she needs the financial help and luckily that's the only place i really feel "at home" so it'll be easier and less stressful. good luck with the new home! it really is great to watch a house become a home
congrats on the new home! we've got a really nice house. i love it. he bedrooms are too small for the girls, so we'll either move or build on to make them less claustrophobic. we need to finish the basement, too.
I live in a trailer house. It was just given to us, so I can't complain. It's really nice and in halfway decent shape, though. It's very pretty on the outside. I have a damn good looking house and yard.
That's so cool! Do you have any before and after pictures? Our house is a boring 3 bedroom two bathroom in a large development with a small backyard and lots of neighbors. We're moving in June though .
you should take some pictures! i'm glad it's all taken care of and finished up for you guys. i live in a castle. i can't complain about much, except for the lack of air conditioning. actually i live in one of the two other buildings in the complex, thats just the main building. mine is perpendicular to the main building, and just a few steps to the north.
I dont have a home. I live at work, in a two bedroom house in the historic part of houston called the heights. Its very pretty around here. This house is very neglected, but ok. I go to my sister's house on my 8 days off a month, thats a 3 bedroom in a slightly less glamourous part of town, but still nice.
Jo that is so exciting! Can you take pictures? I am dying to see it! We live in a two bedroom apartment which is in a nice location and it is homey... I like it but can't wait for your house.
I live in a flat, in need of a loving coat of paint, that you can see on google street. I moved there two years ago and am very happy to be there. Five pubs within five minutes walk, a few shops and the last town in England (so it seems) to have a post office where you don't have to queue for hours.
Lucky. I walked past my local post office the other day and there was a good 20 meter long queue outside the door. And yeah, I'll post photos once I manage to unpack and find the damn cable thingy for the camera. Everything else is basically done except one of the spare rooms is just full of crap, cardboard boxes and bin bags. I avoid opening that door like plague.
