I dreamt last night that I had a brilliant idea. A really clever idea. A pure bolt of inspiration.

My dream-state wisdom decided that I needed a solution to the shitty teenage phase my dreads are going through at the moment, and came up with the idea of cutting my hair really short and stitching the dreads onto a hair-net to make a dready wig. That way I could wear them some days and others not - in a best-of-both-worlds kinda way :)

In my dream I hung my newly-fashioned dready wig on a coat peg in the hall and went to look at my new 'normal' hairdo in the mirror. It was a short, peroxide blonde, blow-dried bouffant (think Madonna circa 1987).

    I awoke in a sweat.

Does anyone else have dread-loss fear dreams or am I just... odd?

when i had my last set i had a really convincing dream [the kind where you think youre actually awake, until you wake up] that my i touched my hair and suddenly i had long, glossy, wavy brown hair, like you see in the shampoo ads...

Only with hindsight. It wasn't when I first woke up!!

There were wangsters on the left of me. WANGSTERS ON THE RIGHT OF ME.

Then, I swung my head around, and in one, huge swoop, my dreads knocked all of them down. Then my dreads wrapped around a passing helicopter and lifted me to safety. It was a good dream.

Yeah, mine was all glossy and blow-dried. It was like total salon overkill.

    Maybe I'm having product withdrawals?

I had loads in the early months of my dreads, but haven't had any for a while. Usually I'd be walking around thinking how good my dreads looked, then I'd run my fingers through my hair and it'd all suddenly be normal hair.
Nowadays I often have boring dreams about writing posts in this forum :p

A friend of mine had a dream that she had dreads...
she woke up horrified, touching her hair (which is straight) and felt that it was still "normal" but for some reason she still felt the need to run to the mirror to double-check she didn't have dreads.

Lol it's funny how retarded you can be for a while when you first wake up. A couple of times, I've been woken by the phone ringing, and just ended up lying there thinking, what is that noise? It's just going on and on an on...what is it? Why won't it go away?! lol :p

Heh, one time I woke up and my cat was sitting on my chest, here's what happened.

    Cat; "Meow?"

    Me; "Meow meow."

This went on for at least three minutes before I realized that I couldn't speak cat. o.o
