There may well be a few voyeristic folks in here that enjoy watching other people stamp their feet when aggrieved, but, certainly judging by the backlash in this thread, there are many more that can't be arsed with it and wish that personal disputes were kept just that - personal.

This thread started off at a LIGHT-HEARTED look at SEs sig, you (amongst others) leapt on it as an opportunity to have a go. This approach was as childish as it was innappropiate. This was my opinion and I (amongst others) said so. And no, I didn't name names because my comments on the conduct in this thread were neither a) aimed at a single person, or b) personal.

If I had wished to pull you up personally about this thread, trust me honey, I'd have pm'd you. My "sweeping generalizations" were meant simply to say "Enough of this shit folks. Please stop it now".

You know I do find it fascinating how so many people feel they have the right to say who can post what on a public forum. Who really cares that SE's post are filled with typos? I think the good lot of us has learned just to skim read over most of it. He has every right to be here...just as any of us! An innocent thread was indeed turned into another way to bash all over another member...it is really not cool.
