Do Doctors generally test for drugs?

    I'm sure this has been asked before, but i could not find it. Do doctors check for drugs when you pee in the cup? I would think not, please don't flame if it is obvious.

    They don't unless you ask for a drug test. I think they look for stds or diseases

    They may come across something. Probably best not to take any drugs too soon before you go peeing in any cup. Just in case more than anything.

    No, im pretty sure they only look for it when they are suposed to. So, the information might be there but they arent looking for it. Unless its a drug test...
    (and what is a doctor going to do)

    not unless that is specifically what they are looking for...i have done some serious drugs then had blood and urine test the next day and nothin happened so i would definately believe that they dont

    No. They generally are checking if you are healthy and don't have any stds. Can't drug test you without your consent.

    I don't think they will. I had to pee in a cup before and I was fine, nothing was said

    Yeah and its not like the doctor can do anything, assuming your fifteen or older, atleast I think this is the age, than it is confidential betweent you and your doc
