Cold, kinda cloudy a little rainie, oh the days I used to sit in his house and make him breakfast, I really mis that old guy right about now. He always had good advise and right now I find myself with no one to talk to.
For those of you who never had the privelege of knowing Luke, that's bacon, eggs fried in bacon grease, toast, grits, & butter, (NOT margerine!) washed down with about a quart of coffee that would stop a weak man's heart. His house was a Coachman RV, parked at Front Gate till his health started failing. It was dark, stinky, smokey, filled with squawking, squealing, beeping, & hissing 2-way radios & police scanners. Hey, if you want fresh air & sunshine, there's plenty of it on the other side of the door! Shanti Sena & CALM emergencies were likely to show up at any time of the day or night, often in rapid succession. In spite of this, it was often SRO. Luke's RV was my favorite place at the Gathering.
I have the the privlage to enjoy his company. He would sit and rip on little hawk like a brother would to another, and you could feel the love between the insults. I had a broken hand, and he massage it for like fifthteen minutes, and when I left my hand felt just good. That man had alot of wisdom, Im sad to say I didnt have alot of time with him. He was one true elder whom I had alot of respect for.
