About dreads i dunno why you guys are angry about a subforums lol. Its like im mad because they have a photography category in art section and not a printmaking one! Who cares lol people post here find helpful info and update progression on there locks nothing else. Drama here and there I guess but who cares its the internet. I browse the mary jane forums alot too always see your posts. Like you enjoy that subforum people enjoy this one and if you really want a new forum for shaved heads or reverse mullets then make a suggestion topic under fashion and crafts then throwing a rant and accusing people you dont know about why they have dreadlocks and what they mean to them.

 

marcus garvey was a seperatist and believed blacks should be sent back to africa to get away from the cruel oppressive white folk....i personally dont think he teamed up with the kkk to potentially achieve this because i believe he was a very noble man...but even if he did it was to further his cause...he had the bigger picture in mind of uniting his people and was possibly searching all avenues to achieve this. as far as google searches go....i dont trust them...you can find info to support any side of a claim from the internet...so get over yourself Mr.

My dreads to me are the opposite of styling. There is nothing better than waking up not doing a damn thing to it, only having to wash it every week or two, never spending a second or a dime getting it cut (which I have hated since I was very young), and it keeps my head warm. My dreads are a result of a lifestyle. It really has nothing to with how they look. If that were the case I don't anyone would make it past the first three months of tangled hair.

But yeah you make some good points, but your attitude is definitely negative and takes away from your severity. But like I said, I didn't read the whole thread...just thought I would comment.

 

I do get a lil giggle when I take my daughters to the high school and see lil white kids walking around with their Bob Marley book bags and lil stripped rasta beanies.

Clearly NP is just trying to get a rise out of people in the majority of his posts. I learned poises in the islands, then I learned the ways of Rasta afterwards. I've been Rasta for about two years now. This is the first time that anyone has implied that my beliefs are false or based off of silly things. For example, because I like Bob Marley and smoke herb. First of all, you dont even know me. You don't know what music I listen to. Don't assume shit and then try to act all self-righteous about Rasta. Especially when you try to discredit huge figures in the movement and say "praise ja" afterwards. And just for the record. Its Jah not ja.
