at one point the football player is like "man, my moms is dying in there..."

and the cop responds with "quit giving me attitude"

lol, wtf? attitude?

I'm not afraid to call a spade a spade, but the football player did drive through several stop signs and at least one red light I believe. If any of us did that we'd be on True Tv's Dumbest Criminals. You can also bet your bottom dollar that the cop wouldn't have lost his job if it was anybody else. Personally, I'm disappointed that he resigned.

 

But the cop should have used sympathy here and let the man say his goodbye, then write him a ticket or arrest him or whatever. He had his flashers on, he waited for traffic to pass, he did not endanger anyone. Nor did he give the cop attitude. Did you even watch the video?

I like to think many cops are just people who needed jobs, but there are quite a few dickheads out there... who should do more about the real criminals instead of pushing their weight around on easy targets.
