is there a right way to wash with dr. bronners when you are on the natural route for dreads? or do you just wash like normal shampoo? cause there is like some different directions on the bottle when washing like the scalp and hair..
i didnt really go all natural, i had a bit of backcomd, but i never really wash the hair it self anyway,i just wash the scalp.when ya rinse you can see the soap go through the dreads, so i figure it is gettin clean. hope it helps some what.
If you got the liquid stuff you gotta dilute that. I dilute mind 11/1 but many people dilute it even more than that. Just wash with your palms to avoid running your fingers through your hair and make sure you rinse really well!
I don't dilute. I pour two squirts on my head then let the shower water mix with it and later. Never had any issues at all with using it that way.
i dilute it as it empties... just get it clean on the scalp to avoid iritation and dandruf... rinse... shake your mop top. if you're going natural then just don't study anyone elses advice and you do natural you.
what is this dilute you speak of? i just threw some on my hands, rubbed my hands together, cleaned my scalped off by rubbing it, and put my fingers together and rubbed my hair trying not to run my fingers through my hair which i did not.
when i dilute it i just put some dr.bronners in a water bottle then add a bunch of water and shake it up and dump it on my head. i dont use it too much tho. i usually just make a rinse with baking soda. it works better for me
I don't dilute it. I put the amount I would dilute straight onto my hands neat, lather up, wash my dreads, then...THE WATER FROM THE SHOWER DILUTES IT Then I rinse. If I dilute it first it makes my hair feel fucking weird and I end up having to finish with a neat wash anyway. I'm gonna quit using it on my hair soon though and just carry on washing my face with it (best face wash ever) and just replace it with any old natural shampoo from the health store and do the bicarb wash now and then.
just ran out of my last bottle..going 100% water, if u can really call it that these days. Gonna spend more time at the beach. No more soap for me.
Me too. I've tried so hard getting the dilution right but it NEVER gets my hair clean. Urgh I had to wash like 9 times with the 12-1 dilution.
i dilute mine for each use in a big ole plastic cup about 12:1. I am getting tired of it only because I want a new fragrance I think i wanna try a bar instead of liquid too...
