These Are the songs I would Like to use...
Born to Be Wild and Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf
Baba O'riely, Won't get fooled again by The Who
For What it's worth by Buffalo Springfield
Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival
No Sugar Tonight by The Guess Who
R-O-C-K in the USA (a Salute to 60's Rock) By John Mellencamp

The following is from Footage of Woodstock: The Lost Performances
    The Weight by The Band
    White Rabbit by Jefferson Starship
    Voodoo Child by Jimmi Hendrix
With a little help from my friends by Joe Cocker
    My Generation by The Who

The movie is called A Trip Thru the Sixties :sifone:
It's in production already I plan to make absolutely no money off of it.
If anyone knows of anywhere that I can request permission for any of these that would be helpful. And yes, I know that some of these songs were not realeased in the 60's. :dupe:

If you absolutely need the permission, the best idea is to contact the band themselves. Very easy to do now with the internet. I have had many bands come to town that I wanted to film and I just used the internet to contact the band and I got permission from many of them. Now they may give you the permission, or they may tell you that you have to contact the record label on which the song was originally released, and that can be hard as some of those labels dont exist anymore, and other companies have purchased the rights, but the band should be able to steer you in the right direction if they cant give the permission itself. As for the Woodstock footage, I would say that you should look up who has the rights to that now and contact them. I just did a quick search and found that Warner Brothers owns the Woodstock footage, so you should contact them for that stuff.
