I had booone straight hair before i did my dreads and mine have turned out fine- I only basically used the dhhq comb to backcomb and mine turned out awesome :) so straight hair is as easy to dread as curly hair ^^

When I dread straight hair I always section it off and braid it. If your hair is really straight and fine keep the braids in for a week or too. Also coloring your hair helps. If your hair really doesnt take to dreading you can always dread perm it.

Bees wax is only good if it's pure and you put it on every 12 hours. If you don't, your hair will shrivel up and fall off OMGZ.

    Sweet, quick replys =)
Sounds good then, i shall try again, last time i put my hair in braids when it was damp the left overnight. So you would suggest not using wax at all?

wax is just not necessary. its not evil, but not needed. may inhibit locking some. but save your money and just leave the wax alone...

You could say my hair is board straight, as in "VERY STRAIGHT HAIR", i got my dreads about 7 months ago, and sure the locking process is very different to the process of say curly hair or frizzy hair, but its getting there, theyre locking up gradually and now most are realllyy tight. Just let it be when you have em done, leave em to be what they want :)
