Well I am planning a camping trip for 4/20 which happens to be my wifes birthday. We are planning on rolling the weekend that we camp at night. So I am looking for a good camping spot that is very secluded and perferably affordable. I don't want to be botherd by other campers or park rangers yah know what I mean? Any ideas?
There used to be a place in the Ocala National Forest called "Blue Sink". It was a huge, prehistoric sinkhole about a quarter mile across and almost perfectly circular. You could buy a camping permit and camp there for up to a week (but that was nearly thirty years ago). Very secluded, very beautiful, crystal clear water and VERY deep. No alligators or snapping turtles. It was the place to go and party all night. You might check it out.
Jonathon Dickenson Park.North of Jupiter,as I recall.Huge, tropical with all the usual wildlife including big gators.Cool place.
from what i am hearing nearly every spot in florida that can be camped at is now occupied by homeless. ive read this from several locals.its like the entire state is a tent city,or so they say..
well not every camping site. And the reason I'm asking is because I don't want to go to just any campsite yah feel me. I'm looking for a really nice seculuded one.
the east and west coasts are not good places to go camping anymore because 1. Way to many snowbirds here still this time of year and 2. To many cops and beach patrol, they will kick you off the beach and patrol campsites as well. I think my best choice would be to go to ocala it's cheap and no one will bother me.
yeah true. I need a time machine so my friends and I can go camping back in the day hahaha that would be so awesome. I would probably purposely break the time machine so I could stay.
ive heard ginnie springs is nice, pretty secluded, cheap and beautiful spring to snorkel in..i wanna go really bad the pictures ive seen make it look so pretty...
well guys I'm still excited about the camping trip. I just went out last night and bought a bunch of stuff for the trip. I hope the weather will be ok.
May, if you do go to Juniper or Blue Sink, take a lot of pics and post them. I'm interested to know what the place looks like after all these years. Doesn't look like I'll be back there anytime soon.
