Argh I swear it's like some annoying little animal clinging to my head at the moment. Pleeeeeease just a couple more inches of growth so it'll stay tucked behind my ears without hair bands to make me hot and give me headaches or things to pull and make my scalp ache or clips and pins to get tangled.
It feels all itchy and fidgety and argh!

Glad there are no clippers in the house! Gonna wash the hell out of it tomorrow with the old DHHQ shampoo, teach it who's boss. Grr.

I dyed mine last night and am so worried I didn't get all the dye out, and imagine it festering in there..did you feel that way after you dyed yours or am I insane?

Lol thanks for the reeeeeally helpful responses there you guys :p

    :p

Anyway the side ones aren't long enough to stay up in a pineapple so that's still a fail lol.

Luxie if it's just a veg-based dye it's not the end of the world if you don't get every single molecule out anyway, but maybe do a vinegar soak and another thorough rinse if you're worried.

Aaaaah freshness :) Did a thorough double wash with the DHHQ shampoo, followed by a vinegar rinse coz that stuff makes my hair a bit too clean and crispy. Lol I feel like my scalp actually just lost weight :p

I think I let my dreads/scalp get dirtier than I realise, coz there aren't the same signals for wash time that there are with normal hair, e.g. grease or a change in manageability etc. Hmm

    :p

I totally understand and, it's true - somehow pineapple head for a while really does seem to relieve that...feeling of ARGH.

I just dyed my roots so it's all the same color now:)my roots were so dark and made my dreads look a bit bla. I'm happy now w them-yeyy! they just look a lil cleaner,,,the dark roots next to the light made them look a lil greasy:eek:

i've been noticing that my dreads are shrinking SO much! a month ago, when i put them up into a "pineapple" (though mine was at the back of my head, more like a ponytail), there was enough length to wrap them around at least once... now i have to stretch them out to get them all through the elastic! it's so bizarre! and some of the tips have just been completely sucked up inside their attached dread.... my old dreads never did this! it's bizarre and and i think i may soon suffer from amy's condition as well! :O

I just had an idea. Chop off a couple of back dreads, and use them to extend your front dreads, so it's easier to tuck them away :D lol

LMAO! yeah, amy we were just talking about balding in another post.... hmmm.... forced balding?
you could put extensions on the ones required to pull them back. that would probably be better than CUTTING OFF the ones in the back!!!! LMFAO!!!
