What type is that? Ive heard of different types of shrooms, but mine always look the same. That monster you have looks like something I might see growing in my yard in the summer. I remember people saying they were poisonous, maybe not.

Im fairly sure Im wrong though, arent a lot of mushrooms hard to tell apart? They probably are legitly poison.

I live in Indiana, if that makes a difference in what may be growing .

thats psilocybe cubensis, and a very nice specimen.

i live in indiana and ohio, and i've never seen anything that big growing that looked anything close to the types of mushrooms i've seen growing around here.

regardless, it is just completely the wrong climate for cubensis, but thats just our loss. we can still grow them indoors up here:cheers2:

Thanks for the info, atleast I'll know to stay away from them haha.

But, there is a small cow farm down the road from me and some of my friends have claimed to found shrooms there before, do you think that is legit, or did they just pick random shrooms? They never got to eat them because... well I don't honestly remember.

lots of species of mushrooms grow on cow shit.

indiana is fairlyy far north, and in the midwest. the winters get bitter cold, and even nighttime in warmer months can get pretty chilly.

psilocybe cubensis grows in tropical and subtropical climates. the chill will prevent them from ever naturally growing here. only in the luckiest of lucky conditions could they be grown outside in indiana.

Either way, it's cool to have a member that is (or was) so close to me.

Did you have a chance to check out that thread I made? You seem like one of the most informed members to ask

i didn't have anything to add. i've never tried it. i know about the method, but i've never used it and am relatively skeptical that it works.

i've seen reports of it working extremely well, and reports that it did nothing. the people who say it works -usually- say it is amazing. i don't know which to believe, because i can't think of any reason it should work any better than, say, mushroom tea. but the people who advocate the technique seem to credit it with far more than what you would expect from a placebo effect.

i'm skeptical, but won't write it off. but i've got no idea how to do it best or even if it works at all.

good choices. i don't bother with ginger when i'm doing mushrooms, myself, but its a godsend for any number of stomach complaints.
