Sport just doesnt seem to be so important to as many people over here. There are those who happen to be big fans of a certain sport, but otherwise no-one tends to give much of a shit, its certainly not so important in schools so much as general exercise these days. I have to admit I hate any team sport really

sport does generally suck to play. only extreme sports are any good for me.

Lack of sport in schools is a problem. I'm sure if we'd won more than one Olympic gold it could change. It's also entirely amateur, so there isn't the possibility of a career as with other sports.

what is baseball? i think the best definition, i have ever come accross for baseball, was on a bbc sci fi tee vee program i saw about 20 years ago. (sorry, i don't remember the name of the program.)

Then as the page loaded I prayed you were being serious. :biggrin: I love hockey, it's one of my favourite sports, I used to do hockey club when I was younger but I quit after a while. I was just too crap. I can't ice skate though and Simpsons/the media taught me that American Hockey tends to be on ice.



Baseball is closer to Rounders than it is to Cricket.

 

Cricket used to be a simple game- 22 men played for five days and the Australians always won. Not any more- England will regain the Ashes this summer!

Just another way of torturing schoolgirls. Half the people bat with ridiculous club-like things, half bowl. The batting ones have to run around like retards once the balls been hit, around 4 posts. Something else happens but I forget what. Yelling at the person running usually occurs
