So, I just got out of bed to smoke to help me to get to sleep, and I started looking up laboratory glassware for the hell of it. I found a sight with pretty affordable products and I'm thinking of ordering maybe a few Erlenmeyer and Volumetric Flasks to make bongs out of. I'd really like to get maybe a 1000ml or 500ml Erlenmeyer for a little portable bong. Anybody ever tried it before?
my friend had something sortof shaped like a erlenmeyer flask that we we're gonna make a bong out of, but we never ended up getting a drill bit for glass.
The ones I remember using in science class were always quite thin, but if there are thick ones available it will work fine. Just get a glass drill bit and take your time when drilling, and if the drill bit gets stuck inside the flask after it has made it all the way through, make sure you remove it from the drill, let it fall to the bottom of the flask and pull it out through the top of the flask, or else you risk cracking the glass in the hole.
I think I may order some this weekend. The website I found has them from about $3 for 50ml up to 2000ml for $30. So it's not a huge investment if something goes wrong, and thanks for the drill bit tip.
sounds like a good idea. i've always thought about it, and tried stuff similar, but i made them more like a hookah...bowl on the top, smoke out the side... so you wanna make a bong like this........ ?
