I am looking for articles that I wrote in the late 60's and early 70's for the Great Speckled Bird and have found some archived at Emory University. If anyone knows of a link where the actual articles are please post it. I am sharing items with my teen now and she wants to see my writings and to tell the truth I want to remember those days as well. Thanks!
Have you tried contacting the university themselves? The Library should be able to help you. I have not had many dealings with Emory, though I don't live very far from them, but other university libraries seem to handle requests very well.
Not sure if this will help,but.... www.greatspeckledbird.org Email - grtspeckledbird@yahoo.com The great Speckled Bird rises again http://bird.thinkspeak.net/ Peace
Wow, the Great Speckled Bird......had not thought of that in ages....yes, I used to read that on occasion when I had reason to be in Atlanta. Very good underground newspaper....very high quality. Thanks for re-connecting some long lost synapses with that little post!!
I sold The Bird on the streets as a wee hippie chicklett. Sure miss those daze gone by! Free music in the park,sigh... Here's a link to an Atlanta Strip Project site I ran across. You may've already seen it... http://www.thestripproject.com/TheStripProject/The_Great_Speckled_Bird.html oops! Just read the links in previous post...
