So, I might get some re-done this summer, is there any way to...

So I was thinking of getting my dreads re-done, the problem is that I stupidly cut off some loose hair, and in the process actually clipped off a few locks :banghead: so when I get my dreads combed out, there are going to be some shorter patches of hair, would there be ways to maybe make them longer? Like, getting hair extensions or something?

let it grow or cut the rest of your hair back so its all one length
or accept that dreads are not perfect

    ohh and finally... shave

Yeah you should probably just go ahead and cut them all off. It seems you will be happier if you don't have hair to worry about. Why do care and worry so much about your hair? Who gives a fuck what anyone else think. If you were to just forgot about your hair, you will find that they look good.

Yeah, then do something to your scalp to make sure it never grows hair again. That way you won't worry so much

You should shave your head and get one of those dready wigs, then you could take it on and off whenever you like. And they would be perfectly formed.

Wait, haven't i just seen this threa....oh. Er so your plan is to get rid of some maturing locks because they're not symetrical or even, or what ever your issue was, and then get some new ones? *spoiler alert* (they aint gonna be even either) *spoiler alert*

and you managed to cut some off by accident, what were you cutting them with, garden shears?. I'd like to appolgize if any of this comes off as a little harsh as i generally hate it when people have a dig at other people over the internet, but come on, Dreadlocks are possibly the least conforming hairstyle i can think of, you ask them to do one thing (stay even, straight, syemtrical)..they're always gonna do what they want anyway.

I'm not going to give an opinion on what you should do next, as its your hair and shouldn't be affected by anyone elses opinions....which would make this whole thread pointless? as you're gonna do your own thing anyway?

Think I might have rambled a bit, but yeah... I really don't see what you're gonna gain with this thread.

i would say dont go for dreads again.
u arent happy with the way they look no matter what anyone tells u.
stop posting threads to get attention.
if u dont like them cut them off and forget about it.

ah come on guys.. give guoidance not just insults

    lil disapointed in yas
but oh well not the 1st time and ya i understand bing frustrated with many threads biout oh my dreads suck..but lets try understanding here?

he may have ocsd or image issues that make hiom obsessive over neat perfect dreads.. THIS IS NOT HIS FAULT it maybe just how hes wired
now that if thats the case pressents a few options
    therapy to learn acceptence
give in to the urgess and chop em off restrart enm chop em off restart em on and on till he cghoosed the method that causes the most uniform boring dreads there are..
    or.. immersion therapy
let the dread process take over take control and force him to face his fears and recoiver from them

the last 1 maybe harder gfor him but..will be best
    encourage him

dreads are never ever ever even
you see mine are past my toes well others doent reach my waist and others are 2 inches long
    many arte thin many thick..
not 1 is straight or round
thbatsd thye reality...and the beauty of dreads

so u curt 1 off? so what its undernreath..invisible and will dread at its own pace
when they get long u may loose others too..look at my beard, got 2 long ones on left 1 long 1 on riight and 3-5 shoert ones filling the gap.. cause parts fell off..
should i shave now and destroy 10 years of growth?

if you start over every time a dread gets a bump or a bend or does something odd you wuill ne4ver get anywhjere at all

the process is chaos.. embrace the chaos.. let the wildness turn to beauty
and dont let ppl affect hpw u feel or what u do.. let them dread and ignore those who say they look bad

ftw just constantly seems to be looking for approval and comfort in others when this shouldn't be about anyone else except himself.

At least hes getting the attention he wants from this thread:rolleyes:

okay I generally stay out of everything just for peace sakes and not to get myself hated on by people but...

This guy won't shut up about his damn hair, everyday I come on here and he is looking for attention by making all these post or comments on how he looks. If anyone else came here saying oh I hate my dreads, oh I look sexy in this pic, oh I want to shave my head, and blah blah I would say the same thing. Get over it, if you don't like your hair stop whining to everyone here about it and do something. Asking anyone here what YOU should do to YOUR hair is pointless because last I checked it is YOUR life not any of ours.

He has some self esteem issues obviously but I doubt they would get fixed on an online forum regardless of what anyone says.

I suggest you take everyone's advice and cut your hair. If you keep asking for advice, that's probably all your going to get. Don't be a pansy, cut your hair off.

Ya for real man you got tight locks and you keep complainin about them. I dont see how much better they could get lol and if you are unsatisfied with the dreads you have now then what is the ideal lock supposed to look like in your opinion
