Of any particular band or musician. Ever. I used to be able to, but now it just makes me hate them normally. I used to love the Gorillaz until their newest album. It kind of sucks first of all, and I've heard it all the way through way too many times, which makes me actually hate it. God dammit, it sucks. And I'm having to listen to it right now. And System of a Down also sucks for the same reason. Even the Beatles don't hold the same light that they used to. :( *sigh*

I can still do it, I listen to the same song again and again till I can't, but still want to, listen to it any more. :D

Then a few months later I start up again. Beautiful.

Our whole society is reduced to a series of sound bites, and it’s having a
profound effect on our attention span :(

I had gotten like that, but recently I have forced myself to listen all the way through. Did it today whilst stealing some albums

I used to never be able to, I'd just skip from song to song and from artist to artist

But now that Ive expanded my musical tastes a bit, I've discovered there are some albums which are just so great and flow so well that the only way to listen to them is from start to finish

Time "dulls" the sounds to us.
Seriously, the part of the brain that is recipient to music is the same part where the sex drive is stored.
Another thing, we're in a society where everything (even people for fuk's sake) is to be disposed of so that we can consume and bring continuous repeat business.

I cannot NOT listen to a whole album. I put in a CD I always listen to it all the way through before putting in another.

I find even the best bands have a lot of mediocre songs, so there are a lot of albums where I only fast forward to the best songs. There are perhaps only 10-15 albums that I really love listening to all the way through. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but the smiths probably make the most rounded records...good songs all the way through. Live albums are really good as well, I normally hate wilco, but their live album is great, and I am listening to Bonnie Prince Billy + Harem Scarem live in Ednburgh right now and its amazing from start to finish.

I'm the same way pretty much.. unless I make a mix CD that has all different artists on it.

I'm a fan of listening to albums all the way through. even through the 'not great' songs.

I've made a few artist mix CDs. When I play them I listen to them all the way through.

    i'm with you, Ramona ~

after growing up during a time that you HAD to buy the whole album,

i was SICK AND TIRED of paying for songs i didn't like, just to get the "good" ones.

i've always made Mixed Tapes, and the neatest thing since sliced bread to me?

BEING ABLE TO BUY JUST THE MUSIC/SONGS I WANT!!!
