Hey guys, I thought it'd be cool to have everyone post a pic of their guitars. Here's one of mine, a fender strat (what else? ), sorry for the shitty pic, there was no one around to take it so I had to improvise.
Pretty cool man, my main guitar is also a strat with a floyd and humbucker in the bridge. Its a great combo. Only thing is the round radius of the strat neck messes with the floyd a bit.
Wow. From a distance, it looked like me holding the guitar. Thats how my hair poofs out if I let it curl--That must be why it looks like me.
I have two guitars here. I just bough ta new one two weeks ago, but no pics of that one. But i love the twelve string to bits, and i think the purple one is groovy. My new guitar is a little less funky, but it sounds so much sweeter! I paid £300 for the purple one, which is a little pricey considering it ain't all that good. It's a case of style over substance. But the 12 string, I paid £400 for, and damn, is it worth it! It sounds like it cost twice as much, and it's a nice, big chunky guitar. jumbo sized, real deep, wit ha fat neck, and everything about it is big. A great strummer!
Here's mine in two images because i didnt feel like backing away for a full photo at the time (just now!)
That twelve looks like a Taylor 355c that somone slapped a D-12-40 neck onto lol... my pictures are all in my gallery, except for one which was quite large but beautiful - of my '03 Gibson Les Paul in Heritage Cherry Sunburst. http://www.hipgallery.com/photopost2/showgallery.php/cat/500/page/2/sort/2/perpage/12/password/f2dfe5bd30e99fff5807a2f571003905/ppuser/3848
Oh... and I forgot to mention, I bought another Martin this morning... a 1967 Martin D-35 with a Brazillian Rosewood back. http://images.andale.com/f2/107/110/8155535/1098037063277_1100646085899_DSC00085.jpg
Damn, that's a nice martin! the 12 string is a tanglewood. When I was guitar shopping, I went to a couple of guitar shops, looking for a 12-string, and didn't find anything up to scratch, so i went to a couple of local guitar shops, and i found three guitars - A yamaha 12 for £400, a tanglewood 12 for £400, and an ovation doubleneck for £1250. I loved the ovation, as it had two necks, but the action wa s alittle too high for me, and it sounded somewhat uninspired, bu tI tried out the tanglewood, and it sounded damn sweet, so I got it. For any British person looking to purchase a guitar, i'd recommend tanglewoods. They aren't exactly the greatest guitars money can buy, but if you're after a mid-price range guiatr, they're a damn good bet. They sound more expensive than they are. I've tried out a few in various guitar shops, and I have never been disappointed. hehe, all that recommending over, I sound liek a salesman! That Purple guitar is very much style over substance. I saw it in the guitar shop, and i'm like "It's purple - It has a cool inlay!" so my natural reaction was to buy it. At £295, it was a tad expensive, considering that it sounds kinda dull, but it's a conversation piece. I took both guitars to a peace festival, and I was definitely noticed! the latest guitar i got, which I'll get pics of, as soon as i can nick the digicam back off my mum, who's taken it to egypt, is a simple affair. looks ugly, is very basic, very simple, but sounds good. I'm surprised i bought it, considering it was right next to an ibanez Euphoria EP7, which is more to my taste, being a man who likes guitars which speak volumes without a note having to be played. Incidentally, here's what one of them looks like: http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/51/519467.jpg And i actually chose a simpler guitar over this one! I surprise myself sometimes!
