trouble transfering to new computer

    i just got a new computer but am having difficulty getting it on the internet.
    the old one in windows me, the new one is xp...
    i;m on high speed internet through the phone line(dsl)

    they include a disk when you sign up but i lost it...

    help!

    ok.. more questions. could i somehow just transfer my info from the old to the new by using the ethernet cable? have a link or explanation if it is so?

    If you can't download it from the webpage...there is usually a number you can call...like customer service.

    a real simple way to move files, is a crossover cable. it looks just like an ethernet cable, but some of the wires inside are "crossed over" so your two computer will think they are on a network together.
