Anybody listen to them? I love their music. If you haven't heard them you should check them out, it's hard to describe the music they make, but it's beautiful instrumental music with a dark edge. I don't know. Check em out.:sunglasse
Hey man. funny story, last saturday i was on aderol and couldnt sleep for shit, God Speed was my cushion, i listend to Yanqui UXO four times (for any one who doesnt know it is a 75 minute album) i finally passed out. This music is the limit to where some people can imagine. I takes you on a a trip, i swear it, check it out, and AlteredOrgan, you keep the faith man, sweeeeeeet!
and, (as the list of humorous anecdotes grows) the first time i got head, a painful experience, i was way to drunk and sitting in my car with this girl, threee other people were passed out, including a friend sitting shotgun( i drove a surburban at the time) and becasue i was way trashed i just couldnt... uhh. get there, quickly, ha. a whole godspeed album played through, i beleive it was a lift your skinny fists album but im not sure, that was the first time i had heard them ever, my friend in shotgun put them on before he passed out, i hope he passed out. ha!
Some of their stuff sounds good, but it gets old fast, especially when every song follows the exact same format and structure. It gets kind of dull and predictable after a while. Their best piece is 'Moya'.
ah man that sounds like one of my nights, being all drunk and having sex in a room full of passed out drunkards and rolling around all over them and shit... now i can't drive though because i got a DUI, yeah "lift your skinny fists..." is a badass album and Yanqui UXO as well, F#a# is still my favorite though... ...and to pressed rat, i hear you but, what the fuck, predictible???...i dont hear the fucking "hit me baby one more time" chorus after a four lined verse and neither do you....show some respect for this good music. I know that deep down you love them, you don't have to hide it.
the man talking about the scene of America is excellent, then all of a sudden he starts yakking about his guns and all, man o man thats something heavy.
I used to have one of their albums, BUT I LOST IT!!! BAH but ya, good stuff, not my cup of tea these days though
i like em. my wife has one of their albulms, don't know the title but it gets pretty intense at times.
