A serious question about dating, please help..?

I know this is going to sound stupid but this is a very serious question so can you please take it seriously... i am a very picky person about finding someone to be with and when it comes to dating...i used to be on the true site and it was a great site i met so many nice people on there it just only stayed at friends though.. but than they turned it it to a only pay to use it thing even for a trial which is only 3 days now and you cant even use the trial unless you give your credit information....me friend really doesn't want to have to pay for a site. Does anyone know any good dating websites, that are free and safe to use that they could recommend to me?? i would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

PS: additional comments: she's a sweet, fun outing person and i just think shes looking in the wrong places and as much as dating sites are not always safe, you could pretty much tell who to trust and who not to, almost, not all the time...shes my best friend in the world and i just want her to be happy...so please if you know any good ones you have tried or you know of like that please help me..thank you
