the taste of LSD

I heard that certain drugs like DOI can be misreppresented as LSD (which is a much more dangerous drug to take). I've been told that if what you're taking is actually DOI the blotter will taste noticably bitter or have a "chemically" taste.

is there any distinct "taste" to LSD?

 

Some say LSD is tasteless, but I've actually had slightly bitter LSD and I know for a fact it was LSD.

If it's tasteless, then you KNOW it's LSD but if it's bitter, there's a chance.

 

its tasteless but then again if its tasteless how do u know theres anything on the blotter o.0

 

ive had lsd twice. once had a mildly bitter metallic taste, the other tasted like chewing on a piece of paper.

both had similar effects and matched what the effects of LSD should resemble.

 

i get a taste in my mouth when at the peak for some strange reason....Its a mixure of skin and feet.....Haha which results in metal

 

I tripped for the first time recently. It was kind of bitter, very subtle taste. I got it from a pretty reliable source so I am pretty sure it was just LSD and nothing else.

 

never a taste other than paper or it might not be acid.

 

I have heard many different things on this subject, it is hard for me to come to a conclusion. It seems like many people experience a bitter taste, I think it is the blotter paper. My source is very reliable, I didn't get it from a random guy, I got it from a friend who has done a lot of acid. I feel like he would know where to get good acid.

yes that's true. it also depends on the type of acid you are doing. some blotter paper that has a real fancy or detailed design might have a weird taste to it. that would be the ink on the paper that you are tasting. as for the taste of acid, everytime i have done it there has been no taste except the taste of paper. and the one time i did liquid it was tasteless

 

I once ate 10 hits of mostly bunk acid (maybe only 1 hit worth on there, if that), and it was bitter. so the ink and paper itself, have a distinct taste that i think some people don't pick up.

Either way every single time im eaten 'acid' its had a very noticeable metallic/electric taste

 

^agreed. the time i had bitter acid it was a taste similar to sucking on a watch battery.

i dont think blotter having a taste is anything to worry about. i have done extensive reading on the subject because this was bothering me as well. the last couple times i have tripped have been off of blotter with a battery-like taste. these are the strongest doses ive had as of yet. 1 hit will have you tripping good. there really isnt a chemical that resembles the effects of lsd that can fit on a quarter inch of blotter paper. also, a friend left 6 hits of this stuff by a heating vent (retard) and they all went bunk. this is a clear indication of lsd as well. so i wouldnt think too much of it.

any number of things could cause the blotters to have a taste other than the lsd on them. it could be from the paper, the ink (not in my case, some of the stuff im refering to has no print), the liquid the crystals were dissolved in, impurities in the manufacturing process, etc...
