The reason why people are so shit at listening is because from day one we are told to listen, listen to your parents, to the radio, to the tv, to your teacher. we are fed up of listening subconsciously, we want our turn to talk even if we want to listen, it is a backlash. we need to listen though, people have died because people did not listen, we need to listen to those who should be heard, and also very importantly, we need to truely listen to ourselves, find out what is the truth and block out all the cloudy thoughts that mean nothing. Which is bloody difficult. Well, that is what is on my mind now anyway. Blessings xxx
nice job, spirit. if only we could survive in the world without listening to other people's bullshit. just do whatever the fuck we want, take what we want, and listen to our own thoughts and not be judged. Eh, my fantasy land.
lol thanks, and yh that would be pretty amazing, there is sooo much bullshit it is very hard to seperate what is worth listening to and what isnt, and i guess we all give up after a while. become apathetic and die. choice is not easy. enjoy your fantasy land ! sounds goooood. xxx
lol hey well my fantasy land is boring when im alone. but i know what you mean. we dont have patience to listen and wait to see if whatever they have to say is worth it, because so often it isnt.
im high as shit right now, so whooooaaa. those numbers are huge man. imagine that but in a car or a little scoooter hehe
It is statistically very unlikely that you are a real human being. Assuming computer processing power keeps increasing into the future, there's no reason that we wouldn't be able to run super-accurate simulations of life in 2009 - accurate down to even the last atom. In fact there could be thousands of ancestor simulations running concurrently, and then to make things more complicated, maybe people even further into the future are running simulations of their ancestors who were themselves running ancestor simulations of their ancestors... simulations within simulations... All this leads to a hell of a lot of simulated people in existence in these simulated virtual worlds, who would of course be completely unaware that they were simulations (otherwise it wouldn't be an accurate simulation, right?). So given that the number of simulations is so high, and the number of real world people running those simulations is comparatively so low, it's statistically quite unlikely that any of us are anything more than complicated software programs, with no awareness of any reality outside the simulation.
I was thinking the other day, a second is really small, but then that same second is passing everywhere on earth. People died and were born. All humans experienced some change. Also on the moon. Every planet in the solar system experienced that second. Spacial anomalies aside, a second may be passing through out the universe. Each second is huge.
yeah...how is it that every second and milisecond is so small but so huge?? its like, monumental. and even that word doesnt cover how ginormous it is.
Hmmm... http://twm.co.nz/hologram.html Also, there is absolutely no way to proove that the way you perceive the entire universe, every little thing, is perceived in an even remotely similar way to anybody else, because language is taught by applying it to objects. Though through their eyes and your mind, you might call something "yellow and round", their mind correlates those things as being "purple and flat".
^ noo way. if anyone hasnt seen What the Bleep Do We Know, definitely go see it! That's an extreme mindfucker.

This is going in a little bit different way. I think I can get my head around a million, but I know I have no real concept of a billion, and forget a trillion. They are in the news so much now. One example of a trillion I heard, and the math is easy to do. If you spent a million dollars a day since the day Jesus was supposed to have been been born, you would still not have spent a trillion dollars. 365 days (add in a couple hundred leap year days if you want) X a million X 2009 years I think you would still have a couple hundred years if spending a million dollars a day to go. That is crazy money.
1-Stick a giant dildo up your ear as far as you can. 2-Bang that side of the head repeatedly on the wall till you fall into a coma. 3-You'll be fucked alright.
whats even harder to grasp is that there is infinity numbers between 1 and 2. fucked, isnt it? damn decimals.
