Many reasons xD I would list them but I may be shouted at for being obscene

I recommend you seperate on a daily basis so you avoid them growing together this much. Cutting can do some serious damage and possibly make them fall off later down the road. It all could be avoided if you rip them a part on a regular basis. Very normal for them to grow like this if you don't seperate. I rip mine a part daily. It's become a mindless habit.
