I just tried to post one I liked very much, but I think I made a hash of pressing the right buttons, as I have only just joined. I 've just read Malice by someone called L.M.Shakespeare and it is fabulous.

Ok, this series by - Diana Gabaldon -

The Outlander is the first one, and perhaps the name of the series,
and is a Must Read. Excellent, well researched and with a time travel
(through a stone-henge-type circle of rocks) plot woven skillfully
    through them all.
I cannot recommend her enough, especially if you enjoy historical fiction.:D

i really like robert service's poetry.most of them take place during the klondike gold rush of 1890's.he also wrote about ww1. my favorites are "the shooting of dan mcgrew","the ballad of the northern lights","clancy of the mounted police","and one about ww1 called"the stretcher bearer"

Historical fiction is my guilty pleasure, but my interests tend to lean towards Tudor Fiction.
