What band do you hate the most that many others like? I got this idea from another recently posted thread, and so I thought I might ask what you all think. For me, the band that many like that I can not absolutely stand is U2. A typical 3 chord band that just bugs the hell out of me. A typical band that shows the decline of music in the 80's and that all you had to do was play 3 chords and you could be a star. Now, that is mine, what say you?(to quote area51)LOL
I'm afraid I have to say U2 as well. I also don't dig the Police, Live and Radiohead to name a couple but don't really dislike them as much as U2. And that's not because of Bono by the way. I just can't stand their music.
When I hear their music I feel the need to shoot the band with a flamethrower, or jab my ears with an ice pick. If that is not cause enough to hate them then I don't know what is.
U2: Bono should be dismembered by evil leprechauns. also, Edge needs to be prosecuted for excessive display of echo effects... Beasty boys :they just want their mommys to notice their tantrums. Metallica: should be called "Potmetal-ica" ZW :cuss:
WOW whats everyone's beef with U2 I like them... And i dont think music declined in the 80's i think that there is just a lot of undiscovered talent out there. Pretty much any heavy metal band annoys the shit out of me.
It's ok to like them, man. After all, this thread was about bands that we can't stand that many other people like :biggrin: Oh yeah, it is . I just wasn't sure it was solely their music. It's not my fav band neither but I had a great time when I saw them live.
I was thinking more of the music that you hate from a band, and not the people in the band. Ritchie Blackmore was one of the biggest assholes ever, but he is still my fav guitarist.
