Throwing this idea out there, you may have already thought of it, or you may have not heard it yet. Wool Pillows/wool pillow cases... since a considerable amount of movement happens in your sleep, this might be worthwhile. Time to go buy wool pillow cases Cheers! :cheers2:
i wondered about this, how does it work? is the idea that the wool fibers, being coarser and rougher than other materials microscopically massage and tease your hair into locking at a faster rate?
it would irritate the hell outta my face. plus a wool cap does double duty in keeping hair from getting caught places.
The idea I guess is that it does the same as a wool hat would... When you rub a wool hat around on your dreads you get loads of lockage (woo word)... and in you're sleep you sorta rub your pillow alot with your head.. sooo if you had a wool pillow you'd hypothetically get the same result as the hat ^^ That probably made no sense but it did in my head xD
i actually bought half a yard of wool and half a yard of that other stuff that people who are allergic to wool use, and so far it seems to be working i guess.
yeah.. i was ganna ask my nan to knit me a pillow sized wool sheet, and i could just pin it to my pillow =D
I have flannel pillowcases! ... I don't know if it does anything, but I just wanted everyone to know.
Sounds like I'm knitting a wool pillowcase lol, the dreads at the back of my head are way tighter and I'm pretty sure it's from the way I sleep, so this sounds like a worthy experiment lol
I find my dreads become tighter and knottier every night that i sleep, just friction and compression from the weight of my head lying on the dreads.
na, i know what Mat's saying, they "Feel" tighter cause they are compressed...but once u take a shower they un-compress.. don't mistake compression for knotting. peace.
