The gateway theory is complete bull shit. The fact that most heroin addicts originally used pot doesn't mean its what lead them to heroin. It could be that they live in the inner city, and the people who sell pot are the same people that sell heroin. I've never had a dealer that sold heroin. Also, the person who first came up with the whole gateway drug thing was Henrey Anslinger. Although for some reason allot of the anti drug websites don't mention this. Perhaps because Anslinger was a bigot prick. If anything is a gateway drug alcohol is. I remember when the first thing I ever did was drink. For a few months I was hooked, and got drunk constantly, I wanted to try somting else that would alter my perceptions, so I decided to try pot. Thankfully that mellowed me out, and I was able to slow down with the alcohol
^ you know i thought that about alcohol too. its hard to find people in even middle school that haven't drank, while much more of them haven't tried pot. hmm should do a survey.
That's because most of society is ignorant as fuck, in the sense that the majority of people don't even consider alcohol to be a "drug", just because it's legal. For this reason, alcohol is actually the most dangerous drug out there, in my opinion.
THC SALVIA MUSHROOMS OPIUM ALCOHOL CAFFEINE ALPRAZOLAM AMPHETAMINE CLONAZEPAM CODEINE OXYCODONE HYDROCODONE HYDROMORPHONE METHADONE CYCLOBENZAPRINE DEXTROAMPHETAMINE DIAZEPAM DIMENHYDRINATE DIPHENHYDRAMINE METHYLPHENIDATE DXM FENTANYL KETAMINE COCAINE CRACK DMT ETHER HEROIN INHALANTS LSA LSD MDA MDMA E PILLS NICOTINE 2C-I 2C-E 2-CT-2 EDIT: hmmmmm for the rest of my life?! either weed, lsd or valium/xanax I COMPLETELY agree that alcohol is the most dangerous drug.
Marijuana MDMA 2c-i 2c-e 2c-d 4-aco-dmt 5-MeO-DMT cocaine Morphine (once - never again) methamphetemine (twice - never again) LSD Methylone Oxys (never again) mushrooms mescaline ketamine various benzos I think that's most of them. A few up there I marked never again which is my vow never to ingest this chemical again, primarily almost any opiate -- I tried using opiates recreationally one weekend and afterwards it is horrible just for that, just imagine what happens when you build up tolerance? Never again! Unless I actually need pain killers and in that case they'll be used as doctor directs me to, not swallow a handful at a time for fun. Meth - I tried this chemical twice primarily just to say I did try it, and the second time (5 or 6 months later) to confirm my suspiscions that it sucks balls. I could tell it was psychologically addictive because I felt it after just the one use but what I couldn't understand was why. I don't think it is all that addictive as people say though, I think it is just real cheap these (and lasts a comparatively long time) days and the addicts like cheap. Stay away, or don't I suppose that's not really my business. As you can see I prefer a lot of psychedelics -- maybe thats why meth disappoined me so much. I felt exactly the same, just I don't know methier. Even coke messes with your brain more than that and I guess thats what I am looking for, some head trips. Funnily enough I don't smoke nor drink. Well, I may have one glass of wine every like month. But alkyhol for the most part doesn't interest me. I would much prefer to eat 10mg of 2c-e than get drunk. What does getting drunk teach you? Jack shit as far as I can tell.
Not to be an ahole or anything but 2c-e isn't exactly an option for most people. And personally I do learn a lot from alcohol. It's very underrated that way imo.
Marijuana Alcohol Psilocybin Mushrooms Ecstasy (No idea what was in it) MDMA That's in order from first to last when I tried them. Nicotine is in there plus some weak ass prescription shit. I am potentially doing LSD in a little over a week, but we'll see what happens. It'll either be really good Molly, LSD, or Mushrooms. Either way I'm happy haha. And Marijuana would be my choice for the rest of my life.
lol i actually agree. i mean, i dont learn that much, but it feels fucking awesome. of course i do like head trips...but alcohol is great, especially if theres nothing else available.
^ yes it was, but i brought up a new topic along with it, about the term "gateway drugs" and the substances it is applied to. so its okay that he share his opinion
It doesn't matter why? I was just responding to another response. Besides isn't the title of the thread hypothetical question for Group Discussion?
Sorry that this is not really on-topic but it was brought up earlier. re: marijuana being a/the "gateway drug"... Aren't there only two things to base an answer to this question on? a) personal experience/observation and b) statistics? Personal experiences do not define everyone else's, and statistics may or may not be accurate due to bias on both sides of the data.. so how can this answer even be determined? If anything I'd say any substance can be used as a gateway, but not in the traditional sense it's used (an inevitable path leading to "harder" drugs and therefore self destruction).
