I didn't know where else to post this. I just want to know if anyone thinks this is a sign for anything, or if it has some kind of meaning to it.

My husband and I have been talking about moving. We own a house in the town we want to move to (we lived there before). However, when we lived there before, we had some trouble, and almost lost our kids. So we haven't decided for sure whether or not we want to live there again. It's a nice little town, no major crimes, quiet, peaceful, etc. Our home is on two acres, and the land surrounding it is nothing but grass, hills, trees. A house or two, and two blocks down is the police station, but we're not concerned about that. The house next to ours is about 1/4 acre away, and empty. We could probably talk the owners of all the land surrounding ours, to sell us their land pretty cheap just so they don't have to deal with maintenance, mowing, etc. anymore.

Anyway, to get to the subject... on the way there this past weekend, I was kind of daydreaming about how nice it will be if we do move there: I'll be able to quit my job and focus on my kids and maybe even go back to school. We were about 15 miles away, and I saw what I thought might be a sign: A hawk flew about 50 feet above my van, and I could see it well enough to see what it was carrying-- a snake! My husband thinks it could be a sign, and I called my sister and told her about it and she thinks it's a sign too. Or has some kind of symbolic meaning. What could that symbolic meaning be?

We took a different route home-- and went through a nearby town where my husband and I used to work at this factory. Although I absolutely hate factory work, I kind of miss working there. On the way to that town, I saw something else that I have seen maybe twice in my life (once I had the opportunity to catch and care for one): a dove. A beautiful, brighter-than-snow, white dove, soaring high in the sky, looking even more powerful than that hawk I had seen carrying the snake earlier that morning. And not more than 10 miles away from where I had seen the hawk.

Every sense of my being tells me that we should move ASAP. We were all happier there, in that tiny town on our two acres. Seeing the hawk carrying that snake kind of reminded me of strength, power, capability. A hawk has strong eyesight, which helps it to be able to see something as small as a snake, maybe even smaller, to be able to eat or feed its young. It must be swift enough to fly back to the ground, swoop down and grab the snake, without being bitten, and keep it in its beak while the snake is squirming and wiggling and trying to bite it, right? It also reminded me of freedom: if I'm not mistaken, the national symbol is a golden eagle carrying a snake, and hawks are very similar to eagles. And the dove? A symbol of peace. And I do feel that in the last few years, I, personally, have grown stronger, have improved my own (figurative) vision, and have become more at peace with myself and with everyone around me and with whatever situation arises, no matter how impossible it seems to overcome any negativity.
