Anyone seen this yet? I thought it was pretty good. I lolled loads of times, and I thought the story arc was pretty well written. Although I was a bit lost when they were talking about some of the previous episodes from the latter series. It was cool to see them going to Corrie like, and those two kids on the bus were so cute! I reckon the little ginger boy should be on Corrie full time, they could write him in as Fizz's long lost son or something. He was funny. Lot's of great new characters as well, the guy in the sci-fi shop was exactly like a guy in a sci-fi shop, and the new holograph lady, wow she was was pretty hot too! Big Suze!
A lot of the script was piss. But it was better than I expected. A lot of it was almost as clever as the pilot series. Maybe a two parter would have been better though. I thought Cat was on top form, and Kryten too. Maybe they will make a new six part series. Shame that Hollie wasn't in it. I don't understand what the problem is with getting that guy on the show, he doesn't even need to leave his house to do it, all it is is his head, he could film his scenes on a laptop and email it to the producers, and probably make a ton of money in the process.
According to various sources on the internet Doug Naylor has said he DOES want to make more episodes, wishing to make series 10 but not series 9 (which i've taken to mean he wants them back on starbug, and plans to scrap the "red dwarf and crew" idea from series 8). Which is why the two series were so often refered to in this 3 parter. IMHO it wasn't that bad, but could have done with a laughter track.

Totally agree, the bladerunner tribute was a bit over the top...though apart from that, it did remind of the first series which made me feel good.
