    from Star Trek DS9.

    there are legitimate little bits of wisdom scattered throughout the whole of the series.

    Come on spill the beans Dave!

    I remember one part of Star Trek,when Q sends Picard back to a parallel life.
    This is after Picard wished he'd never got stabbed thro the heart as a youth.

    Its basically where Picard is the ship's bum/loser instead of Captain.

    So Q is basically telling him that your weaknesses are inextricably linked to your strengths.And also that Picard became a success only by taking risks and "seizing the moment".

    You'd need to see the episode tho...

    Then perhaps we should be weary of the new star trek movie :(

    Because if we learned anything on DS9, we know what happens when you put a young, inexperienced (not ready for primetime) crew aboard a new starship, as in the case of season 6, episode 22 (The U.S.S. Valiant) when Jake and Nog are attacked by the Jem’ Hadar only to be rescued by a Defiant Class Warship commanded by starfleet cadets :eek:

    I liked Bashir. It was so hard for me to keep track of what was going on because I didn't watch it regularly and kept missing episodes. Now New Generations on so oh well. :)

    I still love the Statistical Probabilites episode.

    Throughout the series Dr. Bashir remained a self-centered egotistical ass;
    and he even played a spy for section 31 (a special unit within Starfleet
    intelligence) :eek:

    I know he did (section 31) and I still like him. I thought he came off as an alright guy. And yes, I know what section 31 is. :rolleyes:

    the things best left in secret [IMG]
