I've been a practicing witch for nearly 4 decades next year. My dad died 4 years ago and never would accept my religion (except when he bought me a medallion of the Mexican moon god once) but the first Halloween after his death, when I contacted him, he was afraid to speak to me because he could then see what I could do from his realm, and it upset him.
I didn't try to contact him until this past one, and then he wouldn't look at me because I was naked.

Kathryn, frankly this sounds a bit put-on to me. Is it possible the spirits are poking fun at you for your own notions about what your dad is like in the spirit world? Your experiences with contacting your dad sound a lot like stuff my spirit guides do with me sometimes to humor my materialistic limitations. I mean, think of this: Your dad's spirit is no longer tied to a body with an ego, fear, and embarrassment - is he?

Really I must agree with Zen. I really don't think your Dad is attached to the judgemental thing. I think once you get to the other side you see things in a different light...meaning I don't think your Dad would have any feelings on the matter one way or the other. No matter how he feels about it he will let it go and let you make your own way.

When you die you die. Like zen says, there is no more fear, embarassment, shame, need.... all that stuff. The dead leave it behind.
