Lsd, tolerence, perception change, or numbness?

So, im trying to get to the bottom of LSD's effect on my body/mind. I know that it opens perception, and breaks down borders. Im more curious about it's effect on social interaction and relating to that. See, many people that experience more mind enhancing perception from LSD seem to choose to do it alone, and say that if their around anyone they don't completely trust they might just freak out, or their not able to talk to anyone unless their on LSD. Though, there are others that are completely social and able to do anything they normally do. I thought the first applied to me, but recently I experienced the latter. The key for me? During my latest LSD experience I hadn't smoked any marijuana, I had experienced a very mind opening experience as I typically do, but also a very social one. As a matter of fact I became much more social than I normally am, as well as a tolerance for things I normally couldn't stand, such as music I normally couldn't listen to, I just felt completely zen with the environment, despite what that environment was. I consumed alcohol before dropping, and alcohol is my reason for suddenly deciding to drop, but im pretty sure you dont feel the alcohol once you drop. Then, the next day my friend made a comment that LSD makes you almost sociopath-numb to things. I find personally it makes me quite compassionate.

Basically, I am trying to figure out weather the LSD created an effect which desensitized me to things I normally noticed. Or, if my perception was just open to things it wouldn't normally be? Or if that is even an answer that can be limited to one person....

Trying to pin down the effects of LSD is like trying to find the start of a circle, try your hardest friend but it will only lead you in... further.. and further... and further more.

LSD effects all sorts of people in all sorts of different ways and we know from experience that all people are different, yet it's clear we have something in common. I say forget the personal (EGO RELATED) advancements and/or realizations and search for that something else...

If you try to pin down an effect you will just be searching for the start of that circle which will lead you round and round in an ill conceived spiral that is actually you just looking at the same circle from many different points of view from your formulated experiences with the substance. I would recommend stepping back and trying to take a view of the whole circle at once...

...But many here will tell you, "Ride the spiral" and I see why because it can be very fun to Think of all these possibilities and what not but when it comes down to it your only thinking of the start of the circle without actually noticing there is no start to begin with, its just a circle. It takes no thinking to just look at the circle, all you have to do is just step back and look at it for what it really is.

But hey, what do I know...
