Has anyone used a juicer to extract (not quite the right word) the good parts of SP? My notion was to remove the core and juice everything else and either drink that OR use a dehydrator to transform the juice into a smaller amount of powder. Thanks for any guidance.

its actually better than heating it up.
ive read long ago a report by a scientists that said that when u heat the pan pedro, it minimizing all the over active chemicals, and the most potent way is to not expose the juice to heat.
and if u can get all the flesh and juice separated from the skin, then ull have a hella fun time :D

I remember back in the day I actually bought a vegetable juicer to extract the juice out of the cactus skins. Dark green parts only. The juicer had a hard time with it and it was the same thing as blending it in the blender. flourecent green foam that either needs to sit for a few days to turn into juice or be cooked to turn it to juice. It works but is seriously messy.

The best overall method is that of blending prepared skins. Dark green parts only. In a blender. If you put them in 1 by 1 in the opening in the lid filling the blender half full each time. Then cooking the foam in a pot until in melts into cactus juice. Add the juice of fresh limes to improve taste and stabalize the alkaloids. The juice is filtered through a common metal screen baking strainer. It can then be evaporated in a large flat bottom glass baking dish in a 150 degree oven and finished off with a common hairdryer and room temp evap. The resulting powder will be a concentrated form of cactus powder citrate.

Thank you. That's the 1st time I've read anything about negative effects of heating.
