the mass exodus happened for the last decade... and legallization here will be closely followed by national legalization. I pray for it daily.

"The City, as it is called in northern California, packs its inhabitants into a compact area at the tip of a long peninsula making it the most densely populated city in North America after New York City."

    Taken from the site
    http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/ci/?id=sanfrancisco-ca-usa

San Francisco is only 24 SQ miles
I never saw sign lower 400k persons in old newspaper in 1904
highest I ever read was in book 840k- 900k
last 25 years a lot come and go but stays around 700-900

Maybe this 3rd boom we having building up will cut traffic I think goal is 1million reason i say this is they over 1million butthats the mot it can handle already like new york can see sun.

I have medical card for pot and that great but the whole state has it no need to just move to SF its a state wide card I like

Legalization on a national level won't be necessary, but it will probably follow. Weed is already legal in Alaska. California is damn close. Medical marijuana was just legalized in Michigan and Illinois. Things are moving quickly now. As more states legalize, more people living in states where it isn't legal will leave their states to move to one where its legal. This will hurt those states' economies just as much as it will help the economies of those that legalized. Those remaining will have little choice but to join the trend. Once most of the states have done it the national government will probably legalize as well since any national law against marijuana would have little effect.

"[SIZE=-1]Thanks to the state constitution and the state Supreme Court that interpreted it, Alaska is the only state in the nation where marijuana possession in the privacy of one's home is not a crime."

Is this a lie? Or a white man's trick?!

Here's a better source. For some reason the numbers are different but its still the same general idea.

    http://norml.org/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4522

"Possession of one ounce or less of marijuana in the privacy of the home is legal. The status of possessing an amount between one ounce and four ounces is unclear, pending clarification by the courts."

"Possession of less than 25 plants is protected under the Alaska Constitution’s right to privacy (See Ravin v. Alaska)"

Maybe its not completely legalized. But its close enough, at least for now. Perhaps decriminalized would be a better word? Still, as far as decriminalization goes, this is a pretty liberal instance of it. I was made to understand that decriminalization meant if you got caught ONCE with an amount for personal use or smaller that you'd get off with a warning, and any succeeding times the law would deal with you in the usual manner.

I think its time to make it legal
my states has the most pot clubs in the union 400+
Someday it will be if not does it really effect you?
Yes to that answer like some jobs test for pot.

15 states Decriminalization: The state has decriminalized marijuana to some degree. Typically, decriminalization means no prison time or criminal record for first-time possession of a small amount for personal consumption. The conduct is treated like a minor traffic violation.

13 states the newest being Illinois Medical marijuana: This state has medical marijuana laws enacted. Modern research suggests that cannabis is a valuable aid in the treatment of a wide range of clinical applications. These include pain relief, nausea, spasticity, glaucoma, and movement disorders. Marijuana is also a powerful appetite stimulant and emerging research suggests that marijuana's medicinal properties may protect the body against some types of malignant tumors, and are neuroprotective. For more information see NORML's Medical Marijuana section.
[IMG] Hemp: This state has an active hemp industry. Hemp is a distinct variety of the plant species cannabis sativa L. that contains minimal (less than 1%) amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Various parts of the plant can be utilized in the making of textiles, paper, paints, clothing, plastics, cosmetics, foodstuffs, insulation, animal feed, and other products. For more information see NORML's Industrial Use section.

Medical pot is good for alot and great for organs too

Exactly! A dozen states have similar laws.

Marijuana is not completely legal anywhere on earth. Although it is decriminalized to an extent in some places.

Many other places around the world have legal pot its just that the USA will break your back if you make legal .

In last 5 yr 12-15 other counties said no to USA demand to not make legal that the start.

I live in cal its like legal for sick for sure but no cop will bug you for a joint it been voted down as not a major priority to bust.

CHILE: Personal use of marijuana in small quantities on a private place is not against the law.

there's other places where small amouts are legal and allowed
    Amsterdam
    Vancover
Canada does not bug you if you smoke a joint thats why Vancover is so popular

    Thats all decriminalization, not legalization.

and in 2008 Chile toughened its laws on marijuana. It is illegal there just like everywhere else in the world.

    http://stopthedrugwar.org/chronicle/537/chile_senator_protests_marijuana_dangerous_drug
"In March [2008], the Chilean government reclassified marijuana as a Class One dangerous drug, grouping it along with methamphetamine and heroin as a narcotic substance capable of producing physical or psychological dependency and health problems. Now, that move is being challenged by at least one senator, who is demanding that the government produce the scientific rationale for the rescheduling.

    Nelson Ávila-
With marijuana now classified as Class One, said María Teresa Chadwick, director of the National Council of Drug Control (CONACE), judges will not be able to reduce marijuana sales charges, and trafficking even small amounts of the weed will now result in jail sentences of between 1 ½ and five years."

But when you think about it being not legal has not stopped anyone from getting weed. Just got to know rules of game
    Just don't smoke outside
    In a car
    While walking downtown
Joints is a waste of pot
    Makes you stink of pot
As well as a small 1 bedroom or Apt studio
best to use nice well made long pot glass pipe less smell by les smoke

Why it should be legal is because
If your need a job they will drug test and fail you for just stupid pot.
Its not as harmful as Drinking cigs smoking cigs
No one has ever overdosed on just pot
    Its a shame
